Online NCLEX Review: Is it for you?
 
If you are one of those nursing graduates who asks, “Is online NCLEX Review for me? Will I like it and learn the same way when attending a traditional classroom?”. There are many reasons why an online NCLEX review will work for you. And if you are worried that you have never tried it before, just remember, look around and observe that times have greatly changed in terms of learning methods.  And if you are able to enjoy interacting through skype or facebook live, there is no question if online learning is something you can adapt with. Here’s a few key points to take note about online learning.
 
1. Keep an open mind. You may not be familiar with the world of online learning platforms and the challenges of technology but being positive and receptive to learning in a different medium will allow you to experience the many benefits of online learning.
 
2. Online learning is convenient and cost-effective! All you need is your laptop device and wifi connection and you are good to go. You can sit in the comfort of your own home while listening to lectures. You can also do some house chores in between while watching your kids play in another room. Reach out and open your fridge when you are hungry and not worry about driving in crazy traffic! There are endless benefits of online learning that will make you end up liking it as you experience the unfounded conveniences and lower tuition cost.
 
3. Online learning comes in different forms. NCLEX Review may be conducted through recorded lectures or live webinars. Both platforms have its advantages. Recorded lectures allow you to replay and listen to the lectures all over again as often as you want. This will help you retain more information especially the topics you find so difficult. Live webinars on the other hand allows you to interact more with the instructor, keeps you more awake and motivated. Find out which methods will work for you but definitely, you will be able to learn a lot whichever you choose.
 
As an NCLEX instructor, I have done classes in the classroom and through live webinars. I realized that different students have preferences but in the end, the learning outcomes have been the same and consistent. The most important factor to remember is that, at the end of the day, your strong motivation and adult mindset to focus on studying and allotting enough time for NCLEX preparation will be the crucial ingredient to succeed. And I had students who passed the NCLEX in whichever learning method they selected. Again, the key is – remain open-minded and realize that online learning has gone a long way and is an effective learning platform of our times.
